1Why this service exists
Living far from an elderly parent means living with a constant background worry: "are they okay today?", "would anyone notice if they fell?". A phone call from you doesn't always capture the full picture — the voice can reassure, but it doesn't show everything.
Remote Watch gives you an outside, regular, objective perspective: someone who takes the time to call your relative every month, assess how they're really doing, and report back to you in writing — without you having to feel guilty about not being there in person.
2What the formula includes
- 1 monthly point of contact with your relative, by phone
- A written report sent to the family after each contact
- An immediate alert if a worrying sign is detected (isolation, confusion, refusing care, visible decline)
- Cancel at any time, with no binding notice period
3What happens in an emergency?
This is the most important point to understand before starting, and I'd rather be transparent about it. If your relative lives in or near the Indre department, I can switch to an in-person intervention (one-off support or an emergency visit). Elsewhere in France, my role if a worrying sign is detected is to alert you immediately and help you identify the local emergency resources to call on — emergency services, treating physician, local support services — but I cannot travel there myself.
Remote Watch is not a nationwide in-person intervention service: it's a regular human point of contact and early alert. That's already far more than total silence between visits — but it is not an on-site presence.
