Medical appointments

No more going to the doctor's alone

A consultation goes by quickly: you don't always dare ask your questions, you leave without having taken it all in, and the prescription remains unclear. I accompany you to your medical appointments in Châteauroux and the Indre, so you leave with clear answers.

Châteauroux & IndreWritten reportA role recognised by law

1Who is it for?

2How it works

  1. Before: we prepare the appointment together (about 30 minutes): your questions, your treatments, what worries you.
  2. During: I am by your side in the consulting room, if you wish. I make sure your questions are asked and I take notes.
  3. After: we calmly go over what was said. You receive a written report that you can share with your family.
  4. In the following days: a follow-up call to answer the questions that come up afterwards.

3What I do, and what I don't

I meet you directly on site (surgery, hospital, home). Transport is not included: a relative, a medical taxi (VSL or approved taxi) or an ambulance, depending on your situation.

4A role provided for by law

Article L1111-6 of the French Public Health Code allows any adult to appoint a trusted person (personne de confiance). They can accompany you in your dealings and attend your medical consultations to help you make decisions.

This person can be a relative, or an independent professional like me. If you wish, I help you fill in the appointment form. For a one-off accompaniment, a formal appointment is not required.

5Fees

€90/ appointment

All inclusive: preparation, attendance, written report and follow-up call. Travel costs added outside Châteauroux. For several appointments a month, the Ongoing plan (€250 / month, 3 appointments included) is better value.

Frequently asked questions

Can I be accompanied to any doctor?

Yes: GP, specialist, tests, day hospital. The doctor is told I am there, and you remain free to ask me to step out at any time.

Do you pick me up?

No, transport is not included. I meet you on site. Depending on your situation, your doctor may prescribe a medical taxi (VSL or approved taxi).

Can my family receive the report?

Yes, only with your consent. It is often very reassuring for children who live far away.

Do I have to formally appoint you as my trusted person?

It is not required for an accompaniment. A written appointment is useful if you also want me to be able to speak for you to the medical team should you no longer be able to express yourself.
