In hospital, someone trustworthy by their side
A hospital stay, especially an unexpected one, is a time when it's easy to feel lost: information arrives piecemeal, decisions are made quickly, and the family is sometimes far away. I am there for you or your loved one, and I act as the link with the medical team and with your family.
1Two situations
A planned stay (surgery, tests, scheduled admission): we prepare it together. Documents to bring, questions to ask, what needs organising at home. I am there on admission and for the important meetings.
An emergency admission: I can step in within 24 hours, including weekends and public holidays, to be there from the first days, take stock with the care team and keep the family informed.
I am not an emergency service. In case of illness or a fall, first call 15 (SAMU) or 112. I take over afterwards, at the hospital.
2What I do during the stay
- I am by your loved one's side, to reassure them and help them understand what is happening.
- With their consent, I attend meetings with the medical team and take notes.
- I make sure their wishes are known, especially if they have appointed a trusted person or written advance directives.
- I keep the family informed, by phone or in writing, with your loved one's consent.
- I help prepare the discharge: prescriptions, follow-up appointments, support to put in place.

When a parent is in hospital in Châteauroux and you are hundreds of kilometres away, the worry is immense. I can be your eyes and ears on site: you know how they are, what the doctors say and what is being planned, without having to drop everything to come.

Can you come the same day?
I commit to stepping in within 24 hours. Depending on my availability, it is often possible sooner: call me directly on +33 6 06 43 83 53.
Will the doctors talk to me?
Doctors are bound by medical confidentiality. With your loved one's consent, or if they have appointed me as their trusted person, I can attend meetings and report back to you.
What if the stay lasts several weeks?
We set up regular support, with visits and updates at a pace agreed together. I then offer you a suitable quote.
Do you work outside Châteauroux?
Yes, in the Indre and the Centre-Val de Loire region, with travel costs based on distance.
